Investment firm Fidante Partners, owned by ASX-listed Challenger, has named PeterPaul Pardi as the head of its EMEA and North America operations.
Pardi succeeds Cathy Hales who departed last year to return to Australia.
At Fidante, Pardi will collaborate with boutique asset managers to expand the firm’s business in EMEA and North America.
Pardi previously worked at BNY Mellon, where he was the global head of distribution for its investment management business.
Besides, he served as the global head of institutional investment placement at private equity firm Arcapita.
He also had stints at PIMCO, Lehman Brothers Investment Management and Barclays Global Investors.
In the new role, Pardi will report to Challenger’s CEO of funds management Ian Saines and will operate out of London.
Commenting on the new appointment, Saines said: “We are pleased to have attracted someone of PeterPaul’s caliber and experience to lead the business in EMEA and North America.
“He has an impressive track record in investment management with proven strategic business development skills and has worked extensively with institutional, sovereign wealth and retail clients globally.”
Last March, Fidante acquired a minority stake in fund manager Latigo.
US-based Latigo focuses on distressed securities, special situations and long/short credit and equity investing.
