FCA director of life insurance and financial advice Linda Woodall has stepped down after serving for two years in the role.

The UK regulator has not yet announced any replacement for Woodall.

As director of life insurance and financial advice, a role she took up in 2015, Woodall managed due diligence standards at advice firms.

Woodall previously served as FCA’s acting director of retail supervision and authorisations. At the same time, she served at the regulator’s mortgage and consumer lending arm for two years from 2013.

Woodall also worked as head of investment intermediaries at Financial Services Authority, FCA’s predecessor, from 2008 to 2012.
