Private Banker International (PBI) has announced the winners of the fourth annual Private Banker International Awards: London 2017 at a gala dinner ceremony in Waldorf Astoria Hotel yesterday, 8 June.
The Europe-focused awards celebrated the best among the private banks that are successfully serving wealthy clients across the region and act as a benchmark for excellence in the private banking industry.
Winners were selected by an independent judging panel and PBI Editorial team members across 12 categories alongside the Editor’s Special Award.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management and Credit Suisse won two awards each. The first bagged the Outstanding Private Bank for Next Generation Proposition and the Outstanding Private Bank for Philanthropy Proposition Award, while the latter claimed the Outstanding Private Bank – Eastern Europe and the Outstanding Private Bank for UHNW Clients Award.
The Outstanding Private Banking Customer Relationship Service and Engagement Award went to Citi Private Bank, while Societe Generale Private Banking was selected as Outstanding Private Bank – Western Europe.
Prometeia was distinguished with the Outstanding Digital Solutions Provider (Vendor) Award, while Appway received the Outstanding Wealth Management Technology Provider – Middle Office (Vendor) Award and Avaloq took home the Outstanding Wealth Management Technology Provider – Back Office (Vendor).

The awards ceremony was preceded by an all-day conference that debated some of the most pertinent issues prevalent in the UK and European private banking markets.
