Indonesia Asset Allocation: Indonesia is the 16th largest economy in the world with a GDP value of US$846 trillion in 2011. GDP per capita rose by 83% from US$1,921 in 2007 to US$3,512 in 2011. This was the highest growth recorded by any major country in the world.
In 2011, equities were the largest asset class for HNWIs in Indonesia (25.4% of total HNWI assets), followed by real estate (24.6%), cash (14.9%), fixed income (14.2%) and alternatives (7.2%). Business interests’ recorded the strongest growth over the review period, driven by new business formation in the country.
