California-based RIA EP Wealth Advisors has added a Texas presence by snapping up International Research & Asset Management.
Dallas-based International Research is to strengthen EP Wealth’s investment management and wealth planning capabilities.
The deal, whose value was not divulged, adds over $394m in assets to EP Wealth.
EP Wealth president and CEO Patrick Goshtigian said: “The International Research team has worked diligently to establish a strong presence in Dallas and develop a reputation for executing on their clients’ needs and goals.
“That work ethic and dedication to helping clients is what put this partnership in motion, and as a team, we hope to continue to add to the level of trust they’ve built in the region.”
International Research CEO and principal Brett Anderson will now become the regional director at EP Wealth.

EP Wealth has made several purchases in recent years. Last month, the firm acquired Guidant Wealth Advisors.
The firms acquired by EP Wealth in 2019 are Pathlight Investors, Conlon Dart Wealth Management , Personal Financial Consultants, and CPIC International.
At the end of December 2019, EP Wealth oversaw more than $6.7bn in assets.
