Envestnet has added custom model portfolios from BlackRock and State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) to its platform.

The partnerships, announced at the Elevate 2025 conference in Las Vegas, will enable RIAs to offer more personalised investing strategies.

Advisors can now access BlackRock’s custom model capabilities through a single account, utilising Envestnet’s Unified Managed Account (UMA) technology.

The portfolios will initially feature traditional public market ETFs and mutual funds, with plans to include Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and alternative investments in the “near future”.

The collaboration combines BlackRock’s expertise in portfolio design and risk management with Envestnet’s managed account platform, enabling RIAs to offer tailored, “tax-efficient” investment strategies that align with their clients’ goals and risk profiles.

This offering is designed to enhance advisor-client relationships and streamline financial planning.

Envestnet co-chief investment officer and Envestnet Solutions Group president Dana D’Auria said: “This year, as we celebrate a decade of partnership with BlackRock at Elevate, we’re excited to offer advisors on our platform access to these innovative custom model solutions that reflect our shared commitment to providing scalable solutions that can help drive better client outcomes.”

Besides, Envestnet, in alliance with State Street Global Advisors, launched Direct Indexing portfolios on the UMA platform.

This offering aims to enhance personalised investing by integrating State Street’s index investing legacy with Envestnet’s technology to provide customised, tax-aware portfolio solutions.

The Direct Indexing feature allows investors to create personalised index portfolios with over 100 customisation options and optional tax overlay services.

The new strategies include the SSGA Global Equity Direct Index Portfolio and the SSGA US Large Cap Quality Direct Index Portfolio, both requiring a minimum investment of $100,000.

This initiative, offered in collaboration with QRG Capital Management, aims to make direct indexing accessible to a broader audience, previously limited to high-net-worth clients owing to its complexity and cost.

SSGA senior managing director and head of Intermediary Allison Bonds Mazza said: “Historically, direct indexing has been costly and cumbersome to implement, limiting most investors’ ability to take advantage of its potential benefits.”

Last month, fintech firm OneVest partnered with Envestnet.
