Swiss private bank EFG International has appointed Ranjit Singh as its new chief risk officer, replacing Thomas Mueller who has been elected to the board of Raiffeisen Switzerland.
Singh will assume the new responsibility on 01 January 2019 and will also join the firm’s executive committee. The appointment is pending regulatory nod.
He will directly report to the firm’s CEO Giorgio Pradelli. Until he assumes the new role, CFO Dimitris Politis will serve as the chief risk officer on an interim basis.
Singh most recently worked as the group chief risk officer and group executive of Standard Life Aberdeen in Edinburgh and London.
Previously, he also served as the group chief risk officer of Swiss Re in Zurich and group chief risk officer at Allianz in Munich.
Besides, he had a stint at Citigroup, where he held senior management roles in the UK, US, as well as Belgium.
