Edmond de Rothschild Group has hired Didier Deleage as new chief operating officer (COO) of its asset management business.

Based in Paris, Didier Deleage will report to Laurent Tignard, CEO of global asset management.

In his new role, Deleage will oversee asset management global support functions in countries where the Group operates and mainly in 6 investment hubs including Geneva, Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and London.

Deleage will also be responsible for coordinating with the Group’s divisions such as finance, risk, legal & compliance, human resources, operations and IT.

Additionally, Deleage will sit on the Executive Board of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (France).

Prior to joining Edmond de Rothschild, Deleage worked as associate CEO of HSBC Global Asset Management France since August 2013. He has also served as corporate officer for several HSBC group affiliates and as CEO and then chairman of the board.

Previously, he has also chaired the AFG’s commission on accounting standards and reporting procedures and also worked as head of internal control at Sinopia Asset Management. Deleage began his career at PWC Audit in 1995.
