Clarifying its strategic plan, the company said in a statement that the acquisition is part of Dion’s strategy to become a provider of a diversified suite of solutions to financial markets worldwide.
IG provides software platforms for wealth management and stock broking to UK private clients while Dion provides software solutions to financial institutions in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
The client base of IG has combined assets under management exceeding GBP28 billion and over 800 users across the UK and Ireland. The acquisition gives Dion a strong base in the UK market.
"Investmaster is a highly strategic acquisition for us. Combined with the added products, investment and market expertise that Dion can offer, Investmaster is a key element in the wider Dion brand," said Ralph Horne, Global CEO and managing director of Dion.
