British financial advisory firm deVere Group has re-launched its operations in Portugal after a hiatus of six years.
The company’s office will be located in Tavira, a coastal town in the east of the Algarve region. It will house a team of eight consultants and their support staff.
The re-launch follows the appointment of James Green, son of deVere founder Nigel Green, as chief of western Europe in May this year.
The new operation will be co-headed by Andrew Oliver, senior area manager of deVere Spain, and James Green.
Commenting on the move, Oliver said: “The decision to relaunch in Portugal has been driven by consistent and increasing client enquires for specialist financial advice by Portugal-based expats and international investors.”
The company is on expansion spree this year having launched an office in Austria and Madrid office earlier this year.
