Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has named Michael Morley as the new head of its UK arm.
Morley will take up the new responsibility in July 2017, and will report to Deutsche Bank Wealth Management EMEA head Peter Hinder.
“Michael’s appointment is extremely timely, given the changes for our clients implied by Brexit and the need to maintain and build bridges to Europe and the world,” Hinder noted.
Morley previously served as the CEO of British private bank Coutts from 2009 to May 2016.
He also worked as chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland International for seven years, and before that had an eight-year stint as managing director for UK private banking and director of private wealth services for Europe and the Middle East at Merrill Lynch.
In addition, Morley serves as a board member of the British Bankers Association and chair of its private banking and wealth management advisory panel.
