Hocking will report to Juliet Wedderburn, head of the bank’s private wealth management business in UK. He will focus on further developing the team as well as build a portfolio of new clients.
Prior to Deutsche Bank PWM, Hocking served at Barclays Wealth as the head of UK private bank core proposition and also has head of Africa.
Hocking replaces John Matthews, who will focus on the new role as the UK head of key clients.
The bank has been strengthening its wealth management operations in the UK regions with new hires.
Last month, Peter Roper of RBS Private Client Group was hired as a relationship manager and vice president to the Edinburgh office, while Andrew Clarke was named director and head of professional practices in London.
