Danish lender Danske Bank has appointed Tonny Thierry Andersen as new head of its new wealth management unit, effective 1 April 2016.
Andersen has been head of the bank’s personal banking unit since 2012. He will continue in his old role as well until a replacement is found, the lender said.

Andersen, who has been working with the bank since 1999, has held several management positions in the group, which includes that of CFO. He will also continue to serve on the executive board.
The new unit encompasses the Danica Pension, Danske Capital and Private Banking activities.
Danske Bank CEO Thomas Borgen said: "The new unit encompasses our expertise within pension savings and wealth and asset management and will thus be able to drive an even stronger development of products and services. Our ambition is to offer the best solutions in the market. That requires a visionary and innovative organisation with an intense focus on our customers, and I believe Tonny Thierry Andersen is the right person to lead the unit."
