Danske Bank has named Jacob Aarup-Andersen as its new wealth management head, replacing Tonny Thierry Andersen who is leaving the bank.

Thierry Andersen joined Danske Bank in 1999 and held various management roles since then, including CFO and a member of the executive board.

Aarup-Andersen most recently served as the bank’s CFO, a role that will now be taken up by Christian Baltzer.

Baltzer will join Danske Bank on 15 October 2018 from Danish insurer Tryg, where he served as the group CFO.

Until then, Danske Bank’s existing group finance head Morten Mosegaard will serve as the CFO on an interim basis.

Danske Bank CEO Thomas Borgen said: “With the new organisation, we raise our ambitions because we want to be able to continue to meet our customers’ increased expectations and keep up our efforts to become an even more simple and efficient bank.”
