Credit Suisse has appointed Michael De Guzman as head of Philippines coverage within its Asia Pacific Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) unit.
In his new role, De Guzman will be responsible to deepen relationships with entrepreneurs and corporate clients and deliver the bank’s integrated bank offering.

He will report to IBCM Southeast Asia co-heads, Pankaj Goel and Rizal Gozali.
De Guzman most recently served at Macquarie Group. He spent 17 years holding multiple Asia Pacific-focused roles at the firm including head of Macquarie Capital Philippines.
“Mr. De Guzman brings extensive Asia Pacific investment banking experience across mergers & acquisitions, leverage buyouts, principal investments, equity capital markets and general corporate finance, as well as a deep understanding of the Philippines market,” Credit Suisse said.
