Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse has deployed new online banking portals for private and corporate clients following completion of a pilot phase.
Credit Suisse Direct, the new platform for private clients, comprises a user interface featuring widgets that can be arranged to display the functions most frequently used or preferred by clients on their home page.
The platform also speeds up the payment process through its smart payment assistant functionality that remembers previously entered data. Credit Suisse Direct also offers a more comprehensive portfolio overview, the Swiss bank said.
The platform for corporate clients, known as Credit Suisse Direct Business, too uses widgets to effectively arrange the homepage and allows customisation of access rights aligning with an employee’s role. Users of this platform can also leverage the smart payment assistant feature at a later stage.
At the same time, the portal for corporate clients supports multi-banking and online leasing. The multi-banking feature has been designed to help clients display accounts held by them with other banks on the Credit Suisse portal, while online leasing has been designed to allow companies make lease agreements online for goods worth up to CHF1.5m.
Credit Suisse head of digital solutions and delivery Anke Bridge said: “About 800,000 people use Credit Suisse Online Banking on a regular basis, many of them daily. With the development of Credit Suisse Direct and Credit Suisse Direct Business, we deliberately took a different direction with the user-centric design approach.”
