Arbuthnot Banking Group has appointed James
Fleming as a member of the board and chief executive at Arbuthnot
Latham & Co.

Fleming is a veteran private banker with over
25 year’s experience. Prior to joining Arbuthnot, he was one of six
regional managing directors at Coutts responsible for managing UK
entrepreneurs, landowners and inpatriates client groups.

He was also head of international private
banking and offshore at Coutts before his managing director
role.

Chairman and chief executive of Arbuthnot,
Henry Angest, said that Fleming’s private banking experience will
help accelerate the growth of Arbuthnot Latham.

Fleming was a participant in PBI’s London
round table, Is London losing its edge?, in June 2011.
