Cordium, a provider of governance, risk and compliance services, has launched a new regulatory hosting solution in the US.
The new platform complements the firm’s existing offering of guiding firms through US Securities and Exchange Commission (‘SEC”) registration, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) membership, while providing ongoing compliance services.
It will allow the support of financial services clients who need to start marketing without the need for SEC registration or FINRA membership, reducing the operational and regulatory risk.
The regulatory hosting solution will also support its clients to take advantage of “chaperone” services for foreign broker-dealers in accordance with SEC Rule 15a-6, says Cordium. This will assist non-US broker-dealers in gaining access to major US Institutional Investors.
Bill Mulligan, Cordium Group president, said: “US regulators have signalled a greater focus on the distribution activities of registered investment advisers. For clients seeking to manage the regulatory and compliance requirements of distribution in a robust way, Cordium can now offer a reliable high quality solution.”
