Focus Financial Partners partner firm Connectus Wealth Advisers is set to expand into the UK with the acquisition of Watterson Financial Planning.
Financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
Based in Knutsford, Cheshire, Watterson Financial Planning is an independent financial planning firm.
It provides investment management and holistic financial planning, including retirement, inheritance, tax and insurance planning, to HNW individuals and corporate clients across the UK.
Speaking on the deal, Watterson Financial Planning director Craig Watterson said: “The partnership will enable us to maintain our highly personalised client service model while providing access to the resources and expertise necessary to enhance our existing client experience and ensure continuity for both our clients and employees.
He added: “Connectus will provide the reach and scale of a global partnership without compromising the boutique nature of our firm.”

This deal is expected to complete in the first quarter of this year.
Recently, private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners agreed to purchase Novia Financial, which is Britain’s third-largest independent investment and wrap platform by AuM.
