Citi Wealth has appointed Kate Moore as chief investment officer, effective February 2025. Moore will report directly to Andy Sieg, head of wealth, as she assumes a pivotal role in shaping the investment strategies of the global wealth management firm.
Moore will join Citi Wealth from BlackRock, where she served as head of thematic strategy for the $50bn global allocation business. Her career spans notable leadership positions, including chief investment strategist for JPMorgan’s Private Bank, and senior roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Moore Capital, and Morgan Stanley.
Moreover, known for her expertise in asset allocation, thematic investing, and equity research, Moore is a frequent contributor to global financial media.
In her new position, Moore will oversee Citi Wealth’s chief investment office, the global investment committee, the investment lab, and its sustainable investing initiatives. She will lead the development and implementation of independent investment strategies, benefiting clients, advisers, and professionals across the organisation.
During her tenure at BlackRock, Moore contributed to the Global Allocation investment team, founded the Women in Investments group, and served as an advocate for advancing women in finance.
In addition to this, she holds an M.A. in Political Economy from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. Moore also operates on several boards, including the Robin Hood Foundation’s Investment Committee.
