Charles Monat Associates, a life insurance broker for high net worth individuals, has appointed Berry Wong as the new CEO for Hong Kong.
Wong will assume the new responsibility on 18 August 2017 and will report to group CEO Yves Guelat. He will also become a member of the firm’s operational committee to enhance its offering for high net worth clients in Hong Kong, and support the firm’s alliance with Willis Towers Watson (WTW).
Wong most recently served as the regional head of wealth planning services for Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas.
He previously also had a stint at HSBC Private Banking, where he served as the senior director of wealth planning services.
At the same time, CMA also secured regulatory nod for its proposed management buyout of the global wealth solutions business of Willis Towers Watson (WTW).
The deal, announced in May 2017, will raise CMA’s headcount to 130 across the globe with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Zurich, and Liechtenstein.
