Private bank C. Hoare & Co has named Marion King as a non-executive director at the firm.

King brings a wealth of experience to C. Hoare & Co with particular expertise in payments, cards, and open banking.

She moved away from full-time executive work in 2022 after 30 years in the sector. Most recently, she was director of payments for the NatWest Group.

Previously, she was president of MasterCard UK & Ireland and CEO of Vocalink where she oversaw the launch of faster payments in the UK.

In addition, King is currently chair and trustee of Open Banking Ltd, the national body set up by the CMA. King also serves as non-executive director of Uber Payments UK, Bibby Financial Services, which is a family-owned business, and Cashflows, a fintech payments company.

Last year, Andrew Leach was appointed as a relationship manager for the North West of England by C. Hoare & Co.

It was part of the the C Hoare larger goal to strengthen its regional footprint in the UK and grow its already strong position in the North West, with an emphasis on independent business owners and family-run enterprises.

Leach will collaborate closely with Simon King, a senior relationship manager who joined the bank in 2021, in his new position.

Furthermore, Leach was previously with NatWest, where he served as senior relationship manager for the West Midlands.

He formerly worked in private banking at Coutts and offers a wealth of expertise working with business owners as well as high net worth clients.
