Kim Hillier will be Butterfield’s new European head of private banking, chiefly responsible for the private banking arms in both London and Guernsey.
Formerly of Stonehage Investment Partners LLP, Hillier joined Butterfield in 2012 where she became head of their private banking in London. With over 30 years of experience in the private banking and wealth management sector, she is well versed in managing the wealth of high net worth individuals and families worldwide.
Butterfield says that Hillier’s leadership will help "develop a consistent approach to servicing clients’ needs."
Hillier said: "Our client engagement skills will differentiate and define us. Our aim is to deliver our core services with flair and consistency, characterised by outstanding levels of personal service. To do this, the wealth management operations in London and Guernsey will be working closely together, offering our clients both onshore and offshore capabilities along with access to the knowledge and expertise of our Group-wide platform."
Senior executive vice president of international banking Conor O’Dea said: "Kim is well placed to drive our strategy in delivering a high-end, relationship-centric wealth management service offering and leveraging the expertise of our experienced teams."
