Indonesian Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Negara Syariah (BTPN Syariah) has selected Temenos Shariah-compliant solution called T24 for Islamic Banking to expand its Islamic customer base.

BTPN Syariah has implemented T24 for Islamic Banking to support its newly-created Shariah business unit.

Temenos core banking solution aims to provide a fully Shariah-compliant and commercially flexible service to the bank’s rapidly-growing Islamic customer base.

The solution will enable the bank to manage risks, maintain tight control over operational costs while focusing on business growth.

The bank will deploy the T24 Islamic core banking system through Temenos’ partner, Anabatic Technologies.

Temenos said that its core banking solution aims at replacing the bank’s legacy systems efficiently and ensure that they have a platform in place to adopt and take new products to market.

Martin Frick, Head of Asia at Temenos, said: "Our solution will enable the bank to serve its rapidly-growing Islamic customer base with a state-of-the-art core banking system, while providing the confidence that its solutions are fully Shariah-compliant. T24 for Islamic Banking is currently licensed to more than 50 banks, demonstrating its reliability and suitability to this market."
