British wealth manager Brown Shipley has appointed Alan Mathewson as its new CEO, replacing Ian Sackfield who announced plan to step down in March.
Mathewson will assume the new role in April 2018. He most recently was the managing director of wealth management and private banking at Santander UK for over three years.
Mathewson has an experience of more than 30 years in the financial services industry, which includes a 22-year stint at Santander.
At Santander, he worked as CEO of Cater Allen Private Bank, CEO of Santander Insurance, CEO of Santander Cards and managing director of Santander’s Retail Branch Network. He previously also worked at Lloyds Banking Group.
Meanwhile, Sackfield will remain with the firm as a client director, the company said.
