British wealth manager Brown Shipley has recruited an ex-CEO of Coutts, Rory Tapner, to chair its board.
Tapner replaces David Rough with immediate effect.
In the new capacity, Tapner will advise Brown Shipley CEO Alan Mathewson to drive the growth of the firm.
Previously, Tapner worked at UBS for 26 years, holding various roles, including global head of capital markets and investment banking, as well as chair and CEO of Asia Pacific businesses.
Mathewson noted: “I am delighted to welcome Rory as our chair in what is a real signal of intent for the business.
“His extensive experience in financial services, and especially in private banking and wealth management, will be key as continue to deliver a fully integrated wealth management offering to our clients.”
