Brown Shipley has promoted Rebecca Williams to head of wealth planning.
The Quintet private bank chose Williams, a chartered and certified financial planner, due to her experience in both the private banking sector and specialist financial advisory firms.
Roger Clark, group head of wealth planning at Quintet, said: “Rebecca has played a key role in the development of the wealth planning team and the overall Wealth Planning proposition at Brown Shipley. She has supported me in the management and leadership of the UK Wealth Planning business over the last couple of years whilst also leading the Wealth Planning team in London. Rebecca’s promotion recognises these achievements and also demonstrates our focus on growing talent within the business. We will continue to work closely together in the coming months as she transitions to her new role.”
Assuming his role on 15 March 2021, Tremble joins from HSBC where he served as chief risk officer, global private banking, for eight years.
Tremble’s appointment coincides with Quintet’s pursuit of a long-term growth strategy, recruiting individuals across all operations as it enters new markets around the world. In 2020, the private bank hired over 350 new staff despite a turbulent market.
