British wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has named Johnny McGlynn as the new head of office for Edinburgh, replacing Marc Wilkinson.
McGlynn has been working at the firm since 2009, when he became the head of financial planning for Edinburgh. He spent five years in this capacity.
Later on, he served as the head of business development and growth for the office.
Wilkinson has now become regional managing director – Scotland. In his role, he manages the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen offices as well as also serves as the groupwide head of wealth governance.
Brewin Dolphin regional managing director – UK and Ireland Hal Catherwood said: “This is the culmination of continued progress within the Edinburgh office and across the Scottish region. Johnny has helped drive our financial planning, business development and growth in new funds and client numbers.

The total income of the London-based firm in the quarter ending December 2020 also grew, rising to £95.9m from £89.6m.
Last month, Brewin Dolphin appointed Davina Rich as its new head of research and Guy Foster as its new chief strategist.
In November last year, the firm appointed Toby Strauss as its new chairman and non-executive director, replacing Simon Miller.
