Bordier & Cie has appointed Christian Skaanild as partner bearing unlimited personal liability.
Previously, Skaanild was partner and head of emerging markets private equity at Capital Group. He had been working with the firm for the last 18 years in locations such as London, Tokyo, Singapore and also Geneva.

Before, Skaanild worked from 1999 at Antfactory, a venture capital firm.
“Appointing Christian Skaanild enables us to continue our strategic development. His experience in the financial industry, his international profile and career in private equity will strengthen the Association and provide us with the requisite expertise to navigate these sophisticated markets, which have become essential for our wealth management clients,” said Grégoire Bordier, managing partner at Bordier & Cie.
In February 2020, The Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) in Vietnam introduced a wealth management unit, in association with Swiss private bank Bordier & Cie.
MB is the first local bank in Vietnam to offer a private banking service, using Bordier’s expertise. The two parties collaborated on the initiative in October 2018.

Its service suite includes corporate banking, investments, bespoke lifestyle services along with credit solutions.
The new business is based at the MB Private Banking Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
