BNY Mellon, a US-based investment management firm, has appointed Rohan Singh as the Asia Pacific head of asset servicing, replacing Francis Braeckevelt.
Based in Singapore, Singh will be responsible for execution of growth opportunities for the Asia Pacific servicing arm and managing the expansion of the firm’s local capabilities.

He will take up the new role on 27 June 2017, and will report to BNY Mellon executive vice president and asset servicing CEO Samir Pandiri. He will also become a member of the firm’s Asia Pacific Leadership Council.
Singh, who has an experience of 27 years in the financial services industry, previously headed the Southeast Asia and Australasia regions at Northern Trust and sales for Asia Pacific.
He also had a spell at Citibank, holding various asset servicing leadership roles such as head of global custody sales for South Asia, as well as had a seven-year stint at State Street.
“Rohan brings nearly three decades of asset servicing experience, working within large organizations across Asian markets and demonstrating a proven track record of increasing the management and relationship skills under his leadership. His expertise and industry knowledge will be critical as BNY Mellon builds on strategic growth opportunities within alternative investments, exchange-traded funds, real estate, private equity and middle office solutions in the region,” Pandiri stated.
Meanwhile, Braeckevelt will now resume his position as the firm’s Asia Pacific COO for asset servicing.
