BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has established a new investment group by merging teams from affiliated asset managers Theam, CamGestion and Multi-Asset Solutions.
Called Multi-Asset, Quantitative and Solutions (MAQS), the new group will be the company’s fourth investment group, alongside Private Debt & Real Assets, Equities and Fixed Income.
The new investment group will manage €110bn in assets and employ 130 people across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK and Hong Kong.
The new investment group will be led by Denis Panel. The group’s four main areas multi- asset; quant and index-based management; structured investments; and solutions and client advisory will be led by Christophe Moulin, Isabelle Bourcier, Gilles David and Anton Wouters, respectively.
“Combining our capabilities into a single investment group will allow us to better meet investors’ needs by generating alpha and revenue, protecting capital, controlling risk and providing beta exposure,” Panel said.
