BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has introduced a new multi-factor equity fund, which focuses on the Eurozone.

Operating under the name BNP Paribas Euro Multi Factor Equity, the new proposition incorporates ESG criteria.

The vehicle evaluates fundamental indicators and market data through a quantitative assessment and picks securities offering the best return potential.

It takes into account quality, momentum, low volatility, as well as valuation in the stock selection process.

The firm’s quant management team sits within its Multi Asset Quantitative Solutions (MAQS) investment unit and is in charge of the new offering.

Commenting on the new strategy, BNPP AM head of quantitative equity management Laurent Lagarde said“This launch strengthens our multi factor fund offering and enables us to offer a broad range of multi factor funds, all with the SRI label, to investors seeking returns.”

In July this year, BNPP AM rolled out a strategy called Parvest US Multi-Factor Corporate Bond that provides exposure to dollar-denominated, investment-grade credit. This fund too incorporates ESG criteria and includes momentum, quality, valuation and risk in its investment process.

Notably, last month, BNPP AM made its flagship fund range fully sustainable.

The range comprises SRI Best in Class, multi-factor, thematic, and impact investing strategies.
