American fund manager BlackRock has strengthened its client business management team in Australia with three new senior hires.
The company has appointed Scarlett Dorney as director of client business; Jeannie Bredberg as director of retail client business, and James Waterworth as vice president and iShares specialist.

Based in Sydney Dorney will oversee multi-manager and institutional sales strategy for a portfolio of key clients. She will report to Blackrock Australasia head of client business Jason Collins and will be responsible for strengthening ties with clients.
Bredberg will be based in Melbourne. She will report to BlackRock’s head of wealth advisory team Stuart Dunn and will be tasked with enhancing sales of wealth advisory business in South Australia.
Previously, Bredberg held leadership roles in companies like BT Financial Group, Macquarie and Russell Investments.
Waterworth is rejoining the firm. He will work closely with BlackRock’s head of iShares business in Australia Alex Zaika.
Earlier, Waterworth worked as Blackrock’s vice president in London before leaving the company to join Societe Generale Lyxor Asset Management.
