BlackRock head of retirement for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Tony Stenning has stepped down from his role after 16 years.
Stenning is leaving BlackRock to take a career break in 2017. He joined the firm in 2000 when it was owned by Merrill Lynch.
In 2001, Stenning was appointed as head of the UK retail marketing team and in 2004, he moved to the UK retail sales division.
In 2009, the company named him as UK retail business head, replacing Alex Hoctor-Duncan, who was appointed as head of EMEA in a restructure.
Stenning held that role until 2015, which will be assumed by Duncan from the end of 2016.
Duncan said: "I would like to thank Tony for his outstanding contribution to the firm.”
