The Republic of Poland has removed Bermuda from its domestic list of countries of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions.

Following the decision, Bermuda will no longer feature on the blacklist set by Poland, dropping the number of European Union member states that blacklists Bermuda to 10, affecting Commission’s overall blacklist of jurisdiction.

Bermuda has signed a Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with Poland effective from 15 March 2015, in addition to signing the Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance on Tax Matters, a multilateral TIEA that includes Poland.

The South American nation has also inked another agreement, the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement, in Berlin in October 2014 for OECD automatic exchange of information on the common reporting standard (CRS) in which Poland is a participant.
