Barclays has appointed Solomon Soquar as the head of Global Investments and Solutions (GI&S) at the bank’s wealth and investment management division (W&IM).
Soquar joined Barclays in 2011 and has over 24 years’ experience in private banking and investment management. Prior to Barclays he worked at Citi Private Bank where he was responsible for Capital Markets in the EMEA region.

Soquar will report to Akshaya Bhargava, the newly appointed chief executive of Barclays W&IM.
Commenting on the appointment, Bhargava said:
