Barclays Wealth Management has appointed Graham Nicoll to lead its regional business that includes businesses outside London and southeast of England.

In the newly created position, Nicoll will manage wealth businesses across the Midlands, Wales, northern and western regions, along with Scotland and Northern Ireland.

He will be responsible for strengthening existing customer relationships and facilitating new ones.

Nicoll most recently worked at KPMG, where he spent three years guiding entrepreneurs and SME management teams on operational challenges.

Before that, he served at Barclays Wealth Management for nine years, serving in several senior roles including head of the mid corporate banking business in the Midlands and North Wales.

The hiring of Nicoll follows the recent appointment of Dirk Klee as the new CEO of the wealth unit.
