Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has put into place a collection of team changes across the UK.

The changes come as the bank targets local wealth management services across the south of the UK, due to the increase in high net worth population in the region.

In the Midlands, the bank has hired Samantha Bradford to the position of wealth planner, covering areas in the South Midlands including Milton Keynes, Northampton, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Birmingham. Bradford had previously worked at HSBC, Duncan Lawrie Private Bank and Charles Stanley.

In the South West region, Barclays has added two members to its wealth management team from other areas of the firm. Gavin Tomkins will take the role of private banker for the wealth and investment management team in Devon and Cornwall. He had previously worked for Barclays Premier Banking for 26 years as a relationship manager. Dan Gordon, who had previously spent eight years as a premier manager, will join the Bristol wealth and investment office as a private banker.

In the South East, Casper Speake has been promoted from private banking executive to private banker at the bank’s Guilford office having joined Barclays in 2010. Richard Wallace has also been promoted to the private banker role in the Reading office after joining the firm in 2008.

The Eastern region sees Emma Leach being promoted from a Private Bank Executive to a Private Banker. Emma will be based in Ipswich, covering the regions of Suffolk and North Essex.

The bank currently has 10 private banking offices in the south region. In 2014, Barclays opened offices in Hampshire, Birmingham and St Albans.
