Barclays is set to relocate around 100 staff members of its wealth and investment management arm from Colmore Square to One Snowhill in Birmingham, the bank’s headquarters in the city.
The bank’s Snowhill location, which presently houses 850 corporate staff, is due to eventually accommodate 1,200 employees, reports Insider Media Limited.
Paul Keiser, regional director of Barclays wealth and investment management in the Midlands, said, "The bringing together of our Corporate Banking and Wealth and Investment Management teams under one roof will allow us to provide our clients with a more efficient service and a better breadth of capabilities in both a personal and corporate capacity."
According to Ray O’Donoghue, managing director for Barclays Corporate in the Midlands, "Birmingham and the wider Midlands region is a fantastic place to do business and this alliance makes us well placed to advise across a wide range of circumstances: from business owners looking to take the next step with their business or families seeking support on inheritance and succession planning."
