Barclays Private Bank has appointed Effie Datson as global head of family office and Melanie Aimer as global head of client experience to boost its senior team.
Datson, in a newly created role, will be responsible for maintaining and growing the global family office client segment. This will be in partnership with the business and product heads to define and enhance its global family office proposition.
With more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, Datson joins from UBP where she was head of hedge funds. She has also held roles at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. She is founder and former board chair of 100 Women in Finance in EMEA.
Aimer will support Barclays Private Bank and its strategic growth ambitions by taking on an end-to-end responsibility for client experience. This incorporates product propositions, marketing and distribution, and digital face to market and client facing processes.

By GlobalDataShe joins from BNP Paribas Asset Management where she was the global head of client experience. Prior to this, Aimer worked within the corporate and institutional arm of BNP Paribas.
Both Datson and Aimer will be based in London and report to Jean-Christophe Gerard, interim CEO of Barclays Private Bank.
