Barclays has introduced an online portal offering HNW clients
events and experiences to enjoy in their time off.
The ‘Little Book of Wonders’ offers 16 lifestyle sections such
as sport, philanthropy, literature and style and will offer events
such as an evening at Sir Terence Conran’s apartment hearing about
commissioning a dream home.
Barclays says that the service will give clients ideas,
presenting them with a calendar of events available on certain
dates that they will be able to choose from.
David Hughes, head of affinity partnerships at Barclays, said:
“Little Book of Wonders, which can be accessed across the digital
spectrum, does the thinking for clients, enabling them to use the
‘in-between minutes’ to enter the portal and access a curated world
of events and experiences that is exclusive to them.”
A spokesman said this is different from the service offered by
other banks, which is based on the banks marketing events organized
by brands to their clients.
Unlike concierge services, the spokesman continued, the service
does not make bookings on the client’s behalf, but presents clients
with ideas.
