British banking group Barclays has appointed Todd Sandoz as its new head of equities for Americas.
Based in New York, Sandoz will spearhead the business across cash, derivatives, and prime.
Sandoz joins Barclays from Nomura, where he was the head of equities and execution services. This role included responsibility for instinet, equity derivatives, prime finance, and overall equity strategy.
His 25-year financial industry career also includes a stint at Credit Suisse, where he served as the head of global foreign exchange and short-term interest rate trading, co-head of equities for the Americas and global head of cash trading.
Barclays global head of equities Stephen Dainton said: “We remain laser-focussed on targeted growth across our product suite in the Americas, our dual home market and largest wallet opportunity. With his tremendous breadth of experience in Markets, I am confident Todd will drive our strategy and grow our business in the region.”
