Barclays Wealth and Investment Management have confirmed the appointment of David McKenzie to their UK private banking team.
He joins Barclays Wealth as a managing director and brings considerable experience to his new role. He was most recently at Deutsche Private Wealth Management where McKenzie was a managing director in their private wealth management business.
McKenzie started his career with NatWest, where he worked for more than twenty years before moving on to senior positions with HSBC in London.
At HSBC McKenzie ran the ultra high net worth business and sat on the assets and liability committee and executive board management committee.
The appointment come just as the UK bank breaks into the top ten of the PBI Global Index following its second quarter results where assets under management were reported at $308bn.
