Barclays has appointed Haidar Hammoud as head of wealth and investment management for Abu Dhabi.
In his new role, Hammoud will be responsible for driving the Abu Dhabi business and delivery of the wealth and investment management division growth agenda and targets for the Emirate. He will also work closely with office heads in Singapore, Geneva, London and Dubai.
Hammoud will be responsible for providing clients with financial advice, focusing on supporting the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) segment and large family offices.
Hammoud wil report to Rory Gilbert, managing director and head of the wealth and investment management division in MENA.

Prior to joining Barclays, Hammoud held several leadership positions at global financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered and BNP Paribas. He has vast experience in the realm of wealth and investment management with over a decade of experience in corporate and investment banking as well as private and institutional wealth management within the UAE.
