Barclays has announced its appointment of Arnaud Bouyer as head of investment banking for France BeLux.

He will be responsible for the French Investment Banking business, working with Francois Baroin, chairman of Barclays in France.

In addition, Bouyer will also work with Raoul Salomon, France CEO, to aid growth acceleration.

Bouyer joins Barclays from investment firm GBL where he has spent the last two years as an investment Partner. 

Prior to GBL, he spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley in a number of roles, most recently as Head of Investment Banking for France. He has led on a vast array of transactions throughout his career, in particular the private equity, consumer and tech spaces.

In August 2024, Stephen Stewart was appointed head of M&A execution for Canada by Barclays.

Stewart is headquartered in Toronto and will report to Dan Grabos, the head of M&A in the Americas, and Ryan Voegeli, the head of investment banking for Canada.

Stewart is in charge of overseeing the management of the Canadian M&A investment banking division.

With over a decade of experience in investment banking, Stewart joined Barclays from TD Securities, where he most recently held the position of managing director, M&A. He began working at TD Securities in 2008 and has been instrumental in many significant deals over the course of his career.
