Based in Hong Kong, Coglin will report directly to Enid Yip, CEO Asia, on a regional basis, and to Burkhard Varnholt, head of the asset management, products and sales division, chief investment officer and a member of the executive committee, on a functional basis.
Coglin has over 20 years of experience in senior private banking, asset management and capital market roles. He will join Sarasin from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he had worked since 2001.
He also served in various roles at Barclays Capital, JP Morgan, National Westminster Bank, and Goldman Sachs and has worked in London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Doha, and Geneva.
Yip said, given the depth of Michael’s expertise, Sarasin has strengthened the sophisticated offering.
