Bank of America has commenced adding Merrill Lynch’s financial advisors to its Albany, New York area branches.

Merrill Lynch advisors will move into Bank of America’s branches in Loudonville, Saratoga Springs, Niskayuna, Albany, Clifton Park, Rotterdam, Colonie and Latham, GDP Insider has reported.

The district president at Albany for the bank, Jennifer MacPhee and the director of Merrill Lynch’s NY Capital Complex said that these two businesses have been mutually referring clients since Merrill Lynch was acquired by BAC, 5 years ago.

MacPhee said that these moves were only part of the first phase. This move is in direct response to the trend of various clients walking into branches requesting to meet Merrill Lynch advisors.

MacPhee added that there are small business bankers and mortgage specialists at the branches and now there will be Merrill Lynch advisors as well.
