Mathew McConnell has been named as the head of US equity capital markets at BancTrust & Co, a boutique investment bank focusing on emerging markets with headquarters in London.
McConnell has more than three decades of Wall Street experience, holding senior positions with a number of banking companies, including Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, and Fidelity.
He also has a great deal of institutional sales and trading knowledge and previously held the positions of international business manager at Finalis and CEO of Marco Polo Securities in New York.
Currently, McConnell serves as a strategic adviser at CapConnect+ and a non-executive director at Edible Garden, a Nasdaq-listed CEA enterprise.
CEO Carlos Fuenmayor stated: “I am delighted to see someone with Matt’s calibre joining the team as we continue to expand our Equity Capital Markets operations in the US. I’m certain that Matt’s extensive expertise in institutional equities, sales, and trading will be instrumental in the company’s growth.”
