Banca Investis, in partnership with Bain & Company, has unveiled a new investment advisory platform powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI).
The platform, named NIWA, is designed as a “digital junior banker” and aims to revolutionise the customer experience for high-net-worth individuals through hyper-personalised financial services.
NIWA’s key feature is an AI-powered chatbot that offers live, real-time responses to queries regarding investment portfolios.
This function not only enhances customer engagement but also facilitates a more fluid communication channel between the bank and its clients.
Banca Investis chief operation officer Luca Giacobbe said: “In just seven months, together with Bain, we were able to develop and roll out a market-first platform that maximises the power of generative AI to benefit our customers.
“The app analyses more than 500 pieces of information and research daily, including customers’ financial assets, characteristics, and preferences. It has enabled us to increase engagement through cutting-edge banking practices in a personalised, efficient way.”
In addition to the chatbot, NIWA provides users with customised financial insights and up-to-date market news. These features are part of a broader strategy to deliver a seamless and personalised banking experience.
Bain’s AI, Insights, and Solutions practice, with its team of over 1500 experts, played a crucial role in the development of NIWA, bringing together a blend of algorithmic, technical, and business acumen to address complex challenges.
Bain’s Wealth & Asset Management practice EMEA head Daniele Funaro said: “We quickly assembled Bain’s integrated, multidisciplinary teams—complemented by our diverse ecosystem of external partners—to collaborate with Banca Investis, ultimately developing a distinctive end-to-end digital experience that sets the bank apart from its competitors.”
Banca Investis, an independent entity within the Italian banking sector, offers advisory services to manage and optimise the wealth of high-net-worth individuals.
The Group’s operations span six business areas, namely wealth management, asset management, global markets, alternative investments, family office, and corporate advisory and capital markets.
