Los Angeles-based B. Riley Wealth Management has appointed Paul Dietrich as chief investment strategist.

Dietrich joins the firm from Fairfax Global Markets where he previously served as CEO and chief investment officer.

As chief investment strategist, Dietrich will be responsible for managing investments for private investors, retirement funds, and private institutions across the US.

Prior to Fairfax, Dietrich was CEO and chief investment officer of Foxhall Capital Management. He also previously worked as an international corporate attorney with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey (now Squire Patton Boggs) and Jones Day. There he advised on privatisation and economic development issues to the World Bank.
